Just as the New England Patriots welcomed one receiver, the team now is saying goodbye to another.
Josh Gordon was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, effectively ending his 2019 campaign with the team. the Patriots are expected to waive him off injured reserve when he is fully healthy.
Gordon re-aggravated a knee injury in the Patriots’ Week 6 win over the New York Giants. He sat out Monday’s victory over the New York Jets.
In six games, Gordon had 20 catches for 287 yards and 1 touchdown.
The move likely portends an even larger role
