Waukee has taken a step forward in developing a massive proposed entertainment district.

The Waukee City Council voted to approve a 40-acre development at its Monday night meeting. The proposed district, called “The Quarter,” will be located on the west side of Grand Prairie Parkway and north of Interstate 80 in the Kettlestone Development.
