A disastrous first half for the got worse when cornerback Malcolm Butler late in the second quarter with a wrist injury.

The Titans on Tuesday placed Butler on injured reserve, ending his season, and re-signed cornerback Tye Smith. Smith had played in four games this season before being waived on Saturday.

The Titans announced in the second half of their 30-20 loss that Butler would not return to the game. NFL Network reported after the game that Butler suffered a broken wrist. And on Monday, Titans coach Mike Vrabel said “that’s a possibility” when asked whether Butler could miss the remainder of the season.

“Malcolm’s probably not going to make it this week,” Vrabel said of Butler’s status ahead of the Titans’ Week 10 game
