Officials didn’t see Oakland Raiders linebacker Tahir Whitehead delivering a karate-like chop to the neck of Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay but television cameras did.

Whitehead and Golladay were teammates on the Lions in 2017, but that didn’t prevent them from getting into a spat during the second quarter of the Lions’ game in Oakland. As the two players were verbally sparring, Whitehead suddenly delivered a blow to the side of Golladay’s neck.

No penalty was called on the play. The NFL could review the play to determine if supplemental discipline, likely a fine, is warranted.

Earlier in the quarter, Golladay had caught a 59-yard scoring pass from Matthew Stafford. He has two catches for 87 yards against the Raiders through the half.
